This is a Feijoa. Claudine loves this fragrant, aromatic fruit. It has a unique flavor that is very hard to describe. It's kind of guava-like with a hint of cinnamon. Jonathan says, "the flavor is exotic, but the texture is terrible, so why would I want to eat it?"
Claudine, is that the guava that Grandpa Lu grew in the back yard? His was a strawberry banana flavor & the fruit is sort of gritty, almost like green pears. I have tried to buy some of that in markets who label them guavas but it is NOT the same!
