Jonathan returned from Queenstown yesterday and we are glad to have him back in one piece. We thought you would enjoy photos of his extreme sports adventure. He did bungy jumping, mountain biking, jet boating, etc. He also made new friends from around the globe. His review of Queenstown: "Awesome."
Yikes! Looks like he had fun--too scary for me, but I can think of some of my kids who would be jealous!
ReplyDeleteI have bungy jumped twice in my life. The first time I was terrified, and kept my eyes closed the whole time; all the while, though, I was telling myself that once I'd done it once, the subsequent jump would be easier. So as soon as my body was at rest on the air cushion below the tower (this was in Utah, close to twenty years ago), I unhooked myself and ran up the tower, ready to go again. And this time I kept my eyes open. Big mistake. I thought I was terrified before; oh no, that didn't even scratch the surface. This I was TRULY scared shitless. Melissa (who was down at the bottom) said that they probably heard my terrified screams and curses a mile away. Suffice to say, I haven't tried it since.
ReplyDeleteJonathan would like to do it (and much higher ones) again and again. He is an adrenalin junkie.
